1+ Direct Dial Long Distance
Direct Dial (DDD) traffic generally comprises 90% of overall long distance call volumes. Important elements of this service are listed below.
- Both IntraState and InterState jurisdictions are supported for domestic calling
- Support of this service relies on the use of the underlying carrier's Carrier Identification Code (CIC). This CIC must be loaded in each end office as well as the tandem associated with the anticipated first point of switching
- To provision Direct Dial for a customer, the ten-digit telephone number (ANI) must be forwarded to WRLD Alliance by the participating member. This can be done through submission of the number(s) via the WRLD Alliance Bulletin Board System (BBS), E-mail, or via fax
- Once CIC and ANI loading are complete, WRLD Alliance recommends that appropriate testing occurs. This will allow any provisioning problems to be identified and resolved before any large scale provisioning
